Decent article discussing bearings in last month's P.C! should be posssible to identify the bearing by it's serial number and either source a replacement or a sealed race upgrade, the pump will need an oil seal too of course, to state the obvious.

I ordered a steering pump from our friends at Rimmer Bros. The first one had a leak (not just 'sweating'), and the second one arrived in a worse condition.
So, they fitted the first one.
Other non-OE options were very expensive.

I reckon that these 'new' replacements had been sitting on a shelf for so long that they are best their best before date.
Doesn't bode well.
