Shock and springs
I brought a set of lowering springs for my '93 414 sli but now I have a '96 416 sli tourer will the springs fit in to the tourers shock's or will I have to part with more money?

Thanks mate do you happen to know if shock are the same at rear, like will I have to put springs on to the tourer shock or can I just straight swap the already built up shocks into it ?

*Very* correct. Having shopped for shocks and springs in the past, I noticed pretty much all the aftermarket manufacturers classify the back end of an R8 to be the same regardless of the actual model or engine size.
It's the front springs that are different, to account for different engine weights and/or degrees of sportiness. Having said that, given the OP is asking about a 414 and 416 - the front springs were the same when I last looked at aftermarket parts. The "change" from standard 214/414 and 216SLi/GSi (or 416SLi/GSi) springs occurs at the 216/416GTi level (and up to the 2L models) - not because the engine is heavier, just because the car is best with stiffer springs.
