Suggested timings:

12 Noon - Meet at The Angel at Topcliffe and photo op
12.30'ish - Leave for Thirsk/Hutton-le-Hole
2'ish - Leave Hutton-le-Hole area after lunch
After 3 - Arrive at Middlesbrough (arrive earlier and you risk hitting Middlesbrough footy match-day traffic)
3.30'ish Newport Bridge and possible photo ops



After 4'ish arrive at A) Thirsk or B) Russ Swift's (optional)

Evening (optional) - meal in Thirsk area (Howard to advise)

It's dawned on me that it's likely there won't be a R8 5 door present (nor a 4 door), so we may have to take a group photo of 'noses only'

Depending on what is happening I might either hit last minute hotels.com for somewhere to stay in/near Thirsk or head a bit more up North as it is a bit late now for an early booking discount: laughing2

We have had a very kind offer from Russ Swift to visit him at his home in Leyburn, which is about a 40min additional drive each way from the proposed route - basically driving west from Nortallerton on the return leg of the route down the A19.

Tea, a chat and a look at his collection of mementos will be involved, cars may also be present. There is also a very good pub 4 doors away which does excellent lunches - http://www.queensfinghall.co.uk
