I wrote it on purpose:
1. because I'm mainly writing to Britons about a British car hence I'm thinking as if I were in the mainland
2. Don't forget my grandad is born 'subject of her gracious majesty' hence a quarter of my blood feels British even I'm driving on the wrong side of the road!

I suppose with Rover being British, its always been the mainland as all the cars and parts originate here. Mind that prices on the continent are far much higher than in the mainland!

Re: Putting £ in
Mine owes me about £6000 since buying it in 2010
Including the £1500 buy price, and £700 for the original donor 420 gsi turbo then £700 more for the forged engine, whenI discovered I had bought a dog of a 420 blind, and never actually saw the car, just the engine, wiring loom and subframes.
Tony from andover (itsonlyme) delivered it to me and spent the weekend in 2010 with me fitting it

Re: Putting £ in
I think I did work out my BRM but thankfully I've repressed that memory..... Hahaha. I have a 420gsi tourer that I've spent £500 buying and delivery to mine then I've spent another £500 on parts..... So far..... I think up to another grand might go in to it but it is a full rebuild, so God knows.....
