Re: New Owner - Scotland
It should have the original "Aero" wheel trims that were standard on SLi and GSi models. This particular car was advertised in The Viking Oct-Dec 2019 edition when it was being sold by its "Kent" owner. I have some spare aero wheel trims if you would like some, but you will obviously need a set of steel wheels to go with them, although they should be fairly easy to locate.

Re: New Owner - Scotland
Thanks for pointing out that it was in the Viking. Those pictures do show it with the original wheel trims so I know the look it needs to go back to which is what I originally thought it should be.
Appreciate the offer to assist in the wheel trim search. I actually managed to cobble together 4 of them last night via Ebay from 3 different sellers along with a few cassettes to improve my music choice when driving. As you say steel wheels should be easy enough to come by.

Take care if you decide to buy steel wheels in ones or twos from different sources.
The 14-inch steel wheels for R8s, R3s and HHRs all look the same but there are variations in width and offset.
The correct wheels for the R8 (according to Rimmer Bros) are 5.5 x 14 - RRC116970PMN: this should be stamped on the wheel somewhere.
