How was Roverfest today for those who went?

Shame I didn’t put my name down this year, but I only returned from holiday in North Devon on Saturday and had a 6 hour car journey and a 6am start on Saturday.

Didn’t fancy another 5+ hours in the car on Sunday and another early start.

It was fab but v hot :cool

We had 40+ club cars there plus a dozen Coupes out of near 500 total cars. There were some lovely cars there !

Pics to follow soon when mind and body have recovered sufficiently :laughing2
I like Twin Cams, Single Cams, Turbos and 5-cam VVCs :cool

What a fabulous day for which only the greatest praise and can be expressed both for the event and the organisation which went before it.

Whilst every model Rover was ever a milestone of automotive progress before lack of investment, poor management and an inept Government closed the doors forever, I'm sure no one will disagree the engaging display was the P4's - surely the most quintessential example of true British Workmanship ever produced in the post-war period.

Above all however, was the overall comeradery that our and kindred clubs like ours engender at these events, such as how Paul, having remembered a post I made for a crankshaft holding tool some while ago took the trouble to bring one for me to take dimensions of.

Thanks Paul. (and I hope you had a pleasant journey back to Inverness Andrew).

Regards to all,

Stan.
