As the tyres are flat and it won’t start if anyone fancies coming for a nosy to try and get it started (as it is in my mums garage) do give me a shout.
I’m planning to get it recovered from the garage to a local garage ASAP so I can get a diagnosis on what needs sorting

Good clean examples will sell, either on Ebay or Car & Classic for example if you're happy to wait for a buyer.
They don’t sell on eBay, you just get dreamers and time wasters.
I've always turned up and paid when I've been the winning bidder, even when the seller has disguised the rust in the pictures! A spot price ticket Chester- Bristol would have been some what expensive though!
I suppose it's the luck of the draw, did you report him to Ebay?

Them and the second chance person, just to make sure.
Just gonna keep them now, on the trickle charger just in case one of the workhorses dies. To give away a practically new car for £800 is criminal.

Hi Guys
Bit of an update for you, the car has been recovered to a local garage but as its been sitting in my dads garage for a while it needs:
Four new fuel injectors
Its had an oil change, new spark plugs but engine is flooding aparently but in good condition.
The garge say it is a k series engine 1.4
So im not sure its going to be economical to repair giving that ive been quoted £400 for the fuel injectors alone.
Is anyone here interested in taking on the car?
It has a great set of leather seats that i will sell seperately and the engine if you are interested in those or the whole thing.
It is a non runner at the moment but could be a good project for someone, it is situated in mytholmroyd area near hebden bridge west yorkshire.
Cheers

Might be worth getting a second opinion before you commit to new injectors or give up on the car!
A couple of friends of mine in the W.Yorks area recommend this company:

I am not trying to 'dis' your local garage, but our cars have reached the kind of age now where it is often better to get them maintained by somebody who fully understands them

The injectors are a standard Bosch product, and can easily be cleaned and reconditioned by one of several specialists. There are even DIY guides on the web.
Small spare components for these injectors are readily available. Which is a way of saying that not all the trade thinks the problem must be solved by
buying new ones!

If anyone from on here wants to help out giving it a once over it is currently in a local garage where it will stay for the next week or two.
Not sure id want to fork out having it recovered to another garage as its my mums car left from my late father you see,
We are very limited in repair costs and if the costs get too great im afraid itll have to be scrapped.
Ill take some pics at some point to give yo an idea of condition , exterior is j7st in need of a wash as i recall.

I am not a million miles away from you (Wakefield). If any forum members are interested, I’m happy to go and take a look.
Do you have any pics of the car? What colour is it?
All the best
Paul
