Re: DCK Project started
I'll not lie, i was expecting 2.5-3hrs to remove and replace not 5hrs just to 90% remove.
Everything had been soaking in penetrating fluid from the night before as well.
Apparently an engine is arriving for me on Monday as well so should progress quite quickly once everything is here.

Well, after the nightmare that was the removal, i'm glad to say it was a lot nicer refitting the new kit.

Nice, clean new stuff. Cleaned up brake lines and new disc securing screws made of stainless rather than the usual rubbish.

Are those reman. carriers? I'm detecting a subtle shade of red which wasn't on the originals.
Would dearly love to get to doing this on mine now, but no time. I'd want to powder coat the lot - carriers, splash guards and knuckles...

i have powdercoated dust guards in stock
(no not for sale)

Re: DCK Project started
All brakes now complete. Which included drilling and tapping the rear hubs after both sides had previous snapped off bolts in the disc placement screw holes.
All wiring and other nasties that shouldn't be there removed from the engine compartment.
PS bottles fitted.
expansion bottle fitted.
Gearbox refurbished waiting clutch release arm.
Was a busy day yesterday.

Another manifold swap as well...
Wouldn't mind seeing a picture of what you replace these with, re. coating/refurb etc.
