Better call Ghostbusters :)

How about getting the front of the car up on axle stands, start engine, 1st gear, turn right, touch brakes, and see if you can isolate where it's coming from.
You could then get the wheel off and see if it's still there etc.

As you've moved up to bigger brakes I reckon it's pretty likely the front of the callipers are catching. I had a similar thing on a Montego I had a few years ago. I put some alloys on it and one of them was just touching at times. I took the corners of the calliper down a bit with a file and it was ...

Christmas is coming!!

I was gob smacked to see that Sainsburys is selling Xmas cakes, puddings, cards etc. It's over 3 months till Xmas for Petes sake!!!
I'm not particularly religious but this just makes a mockery of the whole thing in my opinion.
No doubt all the other major supermarkets are doing the same?

I have put a plastic manifold on an engine which had an alloy manifold on it. There is no difference in the block. Actually it bolts to the cylinder head. Like you say, the gasket is different but the mating face is the same. There are two supporting rods fitted to the alloy one which aren't fitted ...

Probably the alternator belt is slipping slightly.
With all the electrics on there's a heavy load and the alternator presents more resistance to being turned.
Check the belt tension. It might be a bit slack.
If not, it could be a poor connection or on it's way out.

You can use sealant on the joins after the cat, but not before. There is a risk of bits of hard sealant breaking off and damaging the cat as it passes through. As Streetboy says, no point in painting it at all. It won't prevent corrosion. Best to get a universal joint, 15mm 6-point socket, and long ...

There's a few on ebay. At least one with "best offer".
