Re: Repair manual

Hi,
Fairly sure they did one, try searching on eBay for Citroen Diesel engine haynes manual, or Rover diesel Haynes manual. There are plenty on there.
I had one but gone to the tip unfortunately or you could of had it!
Cheers

Re: MOT advice for a new member/owner

Hi Have you had a go at the suspension bush yet? Don’t think it is the same as the 45 if it has a beam axle. The 45 has independent arms on the rear with a large bush that bolts to the chassis on the arms that support the wheels. These bushes are a common mot failure so I changed both mine during lo...

Re: MOT advice for a new member/owner

Hi, Fan fault common one easy to fix have a look at DMGRS.co.uk they do a repair kit for £3.99 They might do the bushes for your suspension but also have a look at Rimmer Brothers, they might be able to get you the brake pipes but I’d make the copper ones easier and cheaper. Re: Power Steering Leak

Hi,
I just tightened the clips a bit that sorted it, can the reservoir be slid out of its bracket to make access easier?

45 values?

Thanks for your comments, have a few litres in stock so might use them up in the tank later, but only intend to do a few miles this year in the old Rover so won’t save much really.
On a separate topic what are good 45 diesels worth these days?

Cheers

Re: Veg oil?

Hi,
I ran my older 400 on a light blend but that had the earlier injection pump on so just wondered if the later 45s can cope with it too.
Might give it a little drink when back on the road.

Veg oil?

Hi,
With the current sky rocketing diesel prices is anyone running their L series diesels on a blend of veg oil and diesel?
Would be particularly interested in any member running the later 45 diesel with the vp30 Bosch injection pump.
