Hi could any give me some idea of cost to fit a new clutch to my 1989 216 gti dohc please

Circa £300 from a decent independant
If at first you dont succeed hit it with a hammer and have a fag!

Cheapest place I could find near me was £206 on a 216 coupe (k series).

did my own for £63...

£45 for the clutch kit (cant remember the brand but it was a good one :P)
£8 for the gbox oil
£5 for the new driveshaft boot that was split in the process (with grease)
£5's worth of tea bags n coffee!! :P

took me about a hour all in..
but later in the year i replaced the entire gbox..
which took me less than half hour on my own with a mate watching and fetching my spanners :P

1 hour :o did you have a garage and a ramp because i done mine last year and it took about 5 hours with the car on axle stands and standard tools.
